HALF MARATHON & 10KM TEAM DETAILS

  • Teams consist of 4 runners 
  •  Each Team must register a Team name
  • **THIS IS NOT A RELAY**  All teammembers run together
  •  All team members must run and complete the half marathon race course to obtain a team time.
  •  Team results are calculated by the average time of all 4 individual runners
  •  Each team member will also receive their individual time
  •  If one or more team members are unable to participate or complete the race, then the remaining team members will run as individuals and only receive individual race results. No team time will be available.

**In the event that a participant is unable to pick up their race package (i.e. out-of-town participants), the Race Committee will allow a friend or family member to pick up the package on their behalf.

COURSE DETAILS

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

*It is the athletes responsibility to know their course.

21.1K:  **2 LAPS** Athletes will start at Camosun Track.  Heading west, athletes will cross Imperial Drive and access Pacific Spirit Regional Park.  Following the trail adjacent to w16th Ave, Athletes will turn left onto Salish Trail and follow this to the trail split of Salish and Sword Fern. Athletes will go down Sword Fern to SW Marine Trail.   Heading east along SW Marine Trail, athletes will make a left turn onto Clinton Trail and then Salish Trail. Follow Salish Trail to make a right onto Imperial Trail followed by another right onto Hemlock.  Take a left onto Sasamat Trail and enjoy a wonderful climb!  Follow this trail back to w16th to begin your second lap (left), or take a right to head to the finish!
 
10K:
Athletes will complete one lap of the above route - loop minus the section onto Hemlock/Salish. Once you are on Imperial Trail, follow this past Hemlock to take a left onto Sasamat. https://www.plotaroute.com/route/2333824
 
5K:
Athletes will start at Camosun Park and follow the route to the trail split of Sword Fern and Salish.  Athletes will stay left and turn onto Salish Trail.  A Right onto IronKnee Trail followed by a left onto Council Trail.  Follow this to take left on Hemlock Trail followed by a quick right onto Huckleberry Trail which will merge into Sasamat Trail and take you back to the finish line.

HOW THIS WORKS

1. Register and pay a discounted entry fee of $25 to secure your spot!
2. Create a fundraising page and commit to raising a minimum of $400 by race day for our charity!
*by registering for this category, you agree to fundraise a minimum of $400. If you do not meet the minimum 24hrs prior to race-day, you will be charged the difference to be able to participate in the event.

EVENT POLICIES

Awards & Prizing

All participants will receive a finisher’s medal upon completion.

Please note that all age group awards are based on chip time, NOT gun time(pending attendance).  Age Group prizing will be provided for the Half Marathon, 10km and 5km events.  Prizing is awarded three (3) deep for each of the following age groups: Under 20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

We will not be providing medals, but will be offering the following:

     1st place - Complimentary entry to the 2025 event!
     2nd place - 50% discount to the 2025 event
     3rd place - 25% discount to the 2025 event

Award placements will be posted online after the event.  No onsite awards will take place.

When registration opens for the 2025 event, please contact us to claim your prize.
